I agree, Kurt is definately doable.

Beast would be much harder to pull off convincingly..
People just don't move like apes... And what are they gonna do for his hands??? Thick gloves?

    Angry

Is it true that instead of Kurt, they're going to use Jubilee?! If that happens I will be so disgusted, I'd probably won't even go to see it.

    I would disagree.

Well considering we are descended from apes....

But some points that an Ape/Monkey can be done. Plant of the Apes (the original) The New Plant of the Apes that comes out this summer by Tim Burton. Mighty Joe Young. There have been a couple of others that dont sit too well in my memory. But monkeys have been portrayed by man for quite some time. Oh yeah, 2001 a space oddessey.

The more I think about it, the more I like it....maybe I shouldn't think about it too much.

The Jubliee rumor came from E! Online. The article said with some certainty (justified or not) that Gambit, Beast and Jubilee would be the new characters. But there's no particular reason to take that seriously.

Yes, but in Planet of the Apes the Apes didn't move like Apes.. and Mighty Joe Young was completely CGI.

Beast is usually portrayed as having longer arms and shorter legs than regular human proportion, and he swings and leaps and hangs by his feat in such a way that no human could do..

Basically, i think Beast = Competly CGI while Nightcralwer = a little CGI and creative make up.

    Talking

Sorry I should have said why I was mentioning Mighty Joe. Simple, for an example on Ape Like Movement. While still CGI, the animator still controlled the movement.

I thought of two other movies with Good Ape like movement.
    George of the Jungle (Disney)
Tarzan Legend of Greystoke (Great Movie)

No plant of the apes (the original) was great, but they had the basic movements. But remember they were suppose to be evolved Apes so they weren't really suppose to move exactly like Apes.

    ************************************
As for Beast's Movement, don't forget NC is fairly acrobatic. Beast's equal. And Kurt hangs and clings to objects the way no Human can. If you have a chance to see the X-Men DVD, there is a good example of a shoot of Beast balancing on one foot on a ball.

And Kurt's movement isn't exactly human. He generally remains hunched over and what not.

Essentially, Kurt and Beast would present and equal challenge in their basic fur coverings and movement. But Kurt has the Tail, unless they decide not to use that. And he has the unusual number of toes and fingers. Which all of these can be overcome, but the additional cost of Kurt's extras may keep the creators at bay for a bit.

I am just not getting my hopes up.

I think, if they're keeping Kurt in at all (*wince* That kinna hurts if you say it too loud...), they'll keep the tail. It seems as though it would actually be one of the easiest of his physical mutations to make via CGI (like how they created Jar Jar, who combined rather well with the RL sets - just think of it like that, only attached to Kurt's bum).

His eyes would obviously be done using contact lenses and (when the actor absolutely refuses to wear said lenses) more CGI. Ears are easily done with prosthetics.

Fur...? Well, I could see them either using prosthetics on the skin or completely ridding him of fur altogether. *winces yet again* Horrid thought. But then again, why was Mystique scaly? (I know she's not furry to begin with, but still...)

And while I can't seem to remember what it was called, I think I remember a movie that did do some sort of CGI masking to make someone's appendages look different... as the name escapes me, so too do the actual details of said appendages. >_<

I kinda figured the kid looking out the window was Thunderbird 1, or maybe even 2. He has that Native American look to him. And I watched the movie today and used slow-mo w/ that montage and the kid drawing, to me, looks different than the window kid.

And where's Sam Guthrie? At the Movieverse fanfiction site it says Sam's the kid in the red sweatshirt but.. the only guy I see in a red shirt is St. John.

And what about the kid w/ the blue hair? Could just be a kid w/ blue hair.. or he could be a kid w/ blue hair and an image inducer...?
